QUOTE
Lucas Brady peered out his window cautiously. He was not expecting company…not of the male variety anyway, and from what he could tell from this sideways obstructed view, his visitor was decidedly male. All Lucas could really see clearly was a tan sport coat and a watch. A very, very nice watch.

Who the hell was that? He certainly didn’t know anybody that was able to afford something like that. Oh shit – maybe it was a cop.

Lucas felt his heart begin to pound, and his paranoia quickly took over. As he raced through the house to hide the drugs, the knocking on the door grew even louder.

“I know you’re in there, Lucas. Open the door!” commanded a male voice.

Bex,

Another solid chapter in the unravelling mystery.

Scene One

Ooooh boy. Dog fight. You have such a realism with the scene. Lucas freaking out because he thought the cops were on to him and his drug use. It was a very real, very natural scene to me because drug users DO freak out over every little thing. So his reaction was spot on. The actual confrontation between Lucas and Lance was heated. They both threw threats around with each other, although I was more inclined to believe Lucas ... leading me to think, after this scene, that he was possibly Carol's murderer.

Scene Two

My favorite scene. I find it creepy, if I am honest. Down right creepy. The line where Marnie remembers even putting on Francie's CLOTHING for Evan? WTF? If my partner had a spouse that died and he asked me to wear his clothing? Oh man, he'd be DONE. Period. That's just f***ed up. I guess that's the point though, to show how far gone Evan is. With this line "I've been doing bad things", I then switched and thought maybe he was the one that offed Carol. What a wonderful web you have spun.

Scene Three

Shane and Brett. It was nice to see Brett as a friend vs. a man of cloth for a short time. I dunno about Shane though. Sure he's upset with himself for not protecting Carol (I can understand that perspective) ... but getting drunk and making a public display? I'm not sure what police force he is working for, but I can't imagine that's good for his job. If anything I would think he shows how desperate he is for justice and bringing down Jeff.

Over all, good chapter Bex. I was happy to see that you were able to produce an episode ... I know you have been struggling lately. I hope you're well, and continued success with the Chapters!
