Hey guys sorry about the delay in getting this one out. I have been under the weather with strep throat for the last week.

Episode 4 "Running Up That hill" has been released. In this episode more clues about the car accident are revealed. As always link is below or in my signature below, enjoy!

West Lake

I also hope to get the pop up windows working for the cast pages but that will need to wait till I get back from going out of town this weekend.

Thanks again guys,

Kelly

There were are a lot of interesting dynamics at play in this episode. I enjoyed getting to see Vanessa interacting outside the orbit of Brian and in a more public venue. It's helping me to start drawing everyone together and how they are connected. Jessica, being the new woman in Jacob's life, seemed reasonably antagonistic -- well, perhaps not reasonably, but I can understand her hangups, especially considering the scene that follows later in the episode -- toward Vanessa, while Liz served as the more supporting half. The exchange with the ladies was pretty short with Jessica quickly sharpening her fangs and reminding Vanessa that life didn't stop once she got behind bars, but it was a pleasant change of scenery nonetheless. I also like the little bit in the dialogue where Vanessa still feels residual guilt, even four years later after the accident. Her desire to be a hermit seems very in character for someone suffering from survivor's guilt, and it's good that she has family around to help ease her back in.

I thought the stuff with Tyler and his father's connection to the missing evidence followed through nicely in this episode. It definitely has me curious as to what could possibly be in that footage that Alan doesn't want seen. Even more so, how it is all connected to the bigger mystery? He certainly wasn't forthcoming with any answers, which is questionable in and of itself if this evidence could indeed shed light on the night his daughter was killed.

Jacob doesn't seem like a bad guy in my opinion, even though he admits to haivng stringed Jessica along with no clear intentions of a commitment. Four years is a long time, and I imagined a relationship between him and Vanessa was hardly possible, even if the feelings were still there. What I liked is that once he realized that he might still have feelings for his ex, he decides to do right by Jessica and let her go. I'm not sure if this will mean a reunion for the couple though. I mean, is four years long enough to forget that this woman you cared strongly for was at the hand of the wheels that killed your sister? Then there is the man who has actually been in Vanessa's corner, trying to uncover the details of that night. In addition, it doesn't look like Jessica is willing to give up easily.

Speaking of Brian, looks like another mystery slips under the cracks, and it seems fathers going AWOL isn't uncommon in West Lake.

This episode was worth the wait Kelly.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read Ty and leaving me feedback. I am thrilled that you enjoyed the dynamics in the episode and that you are seeing how everyone is tied and connected now.

The women at the mall was one of my favorite scenes to write this episode. It was awkward, and I think the 4 of them had some very good moments.

Tyler/Alan's scene was hard to write I can't give away to much of what was on the camera that night just yet. I did however want to showcase that there is more to the accident and the photos on the camera that tie in directly to it. I am thrilled that you thought it flowed nicely.

Jacob is one of my favorite people in the series to write for deep down he is a good guy. Was he wrong for stringing Jessica along, sure but he knows that it was wrong and is trying his hardest to make it right. I really can't say who he'll end up with just yet or where Vanessa will end up at the end of the season. But Jessica is far from over and her partner I hope will throw everyone for a loop as well.

Brian and his mystery father from the previous episode. What can I say other than Vanessa finding the initials and Brian buying the house are all connected. Brian's motives will come into play in the next few episodes and I hope that readers enjoy it.

Hey Kelly --- just finished reading the episode.
Fanastic episode. I love your descriptive style. It makes for such a fantastic read.

Alan/Tyler -- Interesting dynamics here. It was clear to me that Alan is in fact hiding something about Hannah's death, and it has something to do with the camera in the car. It is very curious to me as to why he would cover something up in his daughter's death. The subtle revealation has me wanting more though. Excellent scene.

Bridgette/James/Karen/Alan -- Hmmm. Although it was never spelled out, it certainly seems that James and Karen have been having some kind of affair. I think it adds yet another element of drama and suspense to the series. It was great (in the sense that I think it's very realistic) that to see that Karen is slowly coming undone (drinking, having an affair, wasting away inside the mansion).

Paige/Austin -- Big brother to the rescue. I am glad someone finally knows about Paige's blackmailer. I am curious as to how Austin will help her the next time he/she makes a demand to Paige. I'm glad she has someone to lean on.

Callie/Vanessa -- I loved their shopping spree and running into Elizabeth and Jessica. I loved even more how Liz was all excited about the return while Jessica was icy.

Jessica/Jacob -- I loved the break up-esque scene. I loved how he was honest and she STILL is trying to hang on by using the excuse "wait til after the wedding". So classic. I trust something will happen that will pull them back together, maybe? Interesting dynamics.

The House -- is this the same house that Vanessa was looking at before? I was confused at that part. Still, the old photograph was a neat twist.

Great episode. I enjoyed it a lot.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for reading Dallas and taking the time to review

Alan/Tyler- I was thrilled that you loved their scene and there is more to be told about the accident and that camera coming up.

Bridgette/James/Karen/Alan- Reading between the lines you are correct James/Karen have been having an on going affair. It does tie in directly with Alan and Bridgette's past and current connection with the accident.

The Girls- Loved that you loved the shopping scene it was a blast to write!

Paige/Austin- Was a refreshing change of pace for me to write and I wanted it to come to light that someone knew about what Paige was going through.

Jacob/Jessica- What can I say other than it was meant to set up a few things in the overall story line. Jessica is not going to relinquish her hold but on the other hand Jacob's feelings for his ex are going to have a huge impact on things. Plus her partner will hopefully throw another loop into it.

The House- It is the same house that Vanessa and Langston visited to get ready for market in the previous episode. The photograph, the initials that Vanessa found, a bigger mystery is all part of Brian and his back story and his true intentions.

Thanks again Dallas it is always a thrill to hear your feedback and the next episode should be out again here in the next week or so.

Hiya Kelly! It's been awhile since I last had the opportunity to take some time and comment- I apologize for that. Things have been quite hectic, but I did want you to know I am still following the progression of the show and I like how things are developing with certain characters.

The first scene was nicely written. I'm pretty intrigued to see why Alan is evading his son's questions and perhaps if he had some part in it all. You've set up an interesting dynamic here.

I particularly enjoed the last few paragraphs in the second scene. The lines involving Karen and what she knew and wanted were quite powerful and chilling. She is quickly becoming one of my faves and certainly a character that I'll be watching for in the future.

I LOVED the scene with Paige and Austin involving the photographs. The whole setup is intriguing and it will be interesting to see if the photos actually get out and especially to see the repercussions of such. I did feel a bit bad for Shane though.....the poor boy really called 8 times?!

I really enjoyed the final scene, Kel. The description you used was superb- I really felt like I was there in the house. I really liked how he took out the photo and we got an inside glimpse into his past. I'm quite intrigued to see where you go with this storyline as well.

If I may make two suggestions-

If you can, try to make the cast bio links pop open into a new window. As it stands now, it refreshes the current page you're reading into the cast bio and the reader might lose where he's at. You can open the image into a new window by doing a target blank code. wink.gif

Also, a recap of the latest episode/storylines would be a nice touch at the beginning of the episode. It would just be a nice refresher for those who might not have read the last episode and want to jump in to the current one:)

All in all, a great read. Keep up the great work, Kelly!

-J.

J thanks so much for leaving me a review!

I really am going to take into consideration your points on the site with the bios and the recap before the next episode. Both have been on my mind and now that I have gotten some feedback from readers on it, thank you for pointing them out! Both things have been bugging me about the current state and it was great feedback that you gave that really made up my mind.

I really do love that you still follow the show and that most of the scenes stuck out for you and were enjoyable. I know my editing sucks and I didn't have my beta this one since he was on vacation. Hopefully the rest of the season will be enjoyable and you and the others will like what I have in store.

Thanks again a bunch for the feedback, always love and appreciate your thoughts.

Kelly
