Today I was cleaning out my Almost Golden email. I received an email from a reader who has never written or posted on my message board before ...
I don't remember how I replied to the email. Do you think, "screw it, I don't need readers bad enough to put up with crap like this," and send back a snarky response, putting them in their place? Do you write back apologizing profusely and promising you'll make it up to them? Do you write back, ignoring the negativity, and ask if there was, indeed, ANYTHING about the material they DID like? How do YOU handle this? Has anything like it even happened to you? ![]() Paint a perfect picture/ Bring to life a vision in one's mind/ The beautiful ones / Always smash the picture/ Always everytime... |

This has never happened to me (although I still have folk who signed up for the Fan Club that I have no idea who they are ...), I think I would handle it in a fashion of "Thanks for your feedback. While the cliffhanger may not have been your cup of tea, I hope there was something in the episode that you liked and that you will continue to read and provide feedback."
I'm the type of person that believes any feedback is better than no feedback. At least you know you struck a nerve so far that they went out to reachout to you.
